Energy-efficient windows help reduce carbon emissions of homes and buildings, contributing to efforts to cut harmful greenhouse gas emissions affecting climate change.
There is a tremendous need to educate consumers on the benefits of energy-efficient windows in their homes, lowering monthly utility costs, improving comfort, providing natural light, and keeping heat out and cool air in.
For too long, energy-efficient windows have been overlooked and deemed too costly when making home improvements. Through the Efficient Windows Collaborative, we explain why and how windows can be cost-effective and energy-efficient, saving homeowners money on their utility bills and reducing their carbon footprint.
Who We Are: The Efficient Windows Collaborative is powered by the National Fenestration Rating Council, a nonprofit organization that certifies the energy performance of windows, doors, and skylights—also called fenestration products. NFRC’s certification program provides fair, accurate, and credible energy-efficiency ratings for fenestration products that help consumers make informed purchase decisions. NFRC is the only provider of ENERGY STAR® certification for fenestration products.
NFRC’s mission is to serve consumers with a comprehensive website to educate homeowners about the importance of energy-efficient, NFRC-rated windows, giving them the tools and resources to make an informed purchase.
Donate today to support getting more high-performing, energy-efficient windows in homes across the country.
