The Building Codes Assistance Project (BCAP) is a nonprofit advocacy organization established in 1994 as a joint initiative of the Alliance to Save Energy, the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy, and the Natural Resources Defense Council. BCAP is headquartered in Washington, DC. We have satellite staff Albany, Atlanta, Chicago, and Toledo.
BCAP hosts code status maps. These maps provide a snapshot of residential and commercial building energy code adoption and implementation status in each state.
